72 hours have passed since the students of World College Of Medical Sciences And Hospital, Jhajjar began a hunger strike, protesting against their college which is now derecognised and demanding that the government euthanise them. On day 3, the situation of two students, Neeraj Ahlawat and Yogita has become critical and both have them have been hospitalised.
 

Surprisingly, the parents of the students are also in accord with the demand. "They have spent a lot of money on our education. But all that has gone in vain now. Our degrees wouldn't be recognised and we wouldn't be permitted to write the National Exit Test. So, they are also not in disagreement with us getting euthanised," says Vidisha.

The students had previously accused that the college doesn't follow any guidelines laid down by the Medical Council of India. They also apparently did not have any faculty members for two years. "We had paid Rs 9 Lakh every year for three years straight. We got our admission only after clearing NEET. But now, we do not know what to do," says Vidisha Singh, a student.

The college authorities have apparently not met the protestors until now. They had declined comment on the issue previously. The District Bar Association, Jhajjar has also extended their support to the students.
