Telangana Skills, Academics and Training (T-SAT) has been playing a vital role in enhancing digital learning and academic outreach across government institutions in the state. With the Telangana Education Policy focusing on digital transformation, T-SAT proposes to extend its services in the execution process of the policy and has prepared a tentative plan.

In this regard, it recently submitted a representation letter to the state government and urged inclusion of T-SAT services in the forthcoming policy.

T-SAT officials have outlined proposed services and digital strategies tailored to meet the needs of each educational segment. The tentative report proposes a comprehensive, department-tailored plan to maximise the value of the T-SAT platform across five major educational portfolios in collaboration with the Education Department and outlines a comprehensive strategy to maximise the use of the platform across multiple government departments in Telangana including Education, Health, Women and Child Welfare, Electricity, Revenue, Endowments, Forest, Panchayat Raj, Agriculture, Cooperation and allied departments.

Elaborating on proposed activities for the Education department that can be included in the policy, a senior officer of T-SAT said, “We have come up with a few activities for different wings of the department that can be added in TEP, and these include pre-primary education (classes: Nursery, PP1, PP2). Video content for listening and speaking skills will be prepared, and a few curricular and co-curricular activity videos will also be prepared.”

“Similarly, for primary education (classes 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5), video content will be created on foundational competencies with child-friendly, activity-based, joyful learning and general aptitude. Calligraphy classes will be introduced and also students will be taken on a field visit for outdoor exposure,” he added

He added that for secondary education, including residential schools, the main objective will be to produce and telecast curriculum design and exam orientation videos for government and private schools, especially those preparing for Formative and Summative Assessment, SSC Board exams and conceptual learning in Telugu, English and Urdu medium.

Subject-wise video content will be created and various initiatives are planned to give students exposure in other fields. Similar proposals are included for intermediate, higher and professional education and for students appearing for competitive examinations.
