Odisha CHSE Class XII results out: Girls outshine boys

83.99 per cent of the students who have appeared in the examination managed to secure a pass mark

The results of the annual Plus II Instant Examination conducted by the Odisha Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) were published on Tuesday. A total 83.99 per cent candidates have cleared the examination in all four streams. Girls outshined boys in the exam with 85.53 percent girls have passed in the test against 84.73 percent of boys, the CHSE statistics said. 

CHSE officials said that as many as 488 out of a total 581 candidates in Arts, Commerce, Science and Vocational stream cleared the examination. Of them, 48 students secured first division, while 204 students passed in the second division and 236 students have passed in the third division. 

Among all streams, the pass percentage in Arts was highest. Of the 183 students who had appeared, 167 secured pass marks. 26 students secured first division, while 48 students got second division and 93 passed in third division. 22 students from science stream have passed in first division while no one from commerce stream has secured first division. The pass out rate in Commerce and Science was 75 per cent and 82.36per cent respectively.
