Cuddalore: Dr N Baskar assumed charge as the new Dean of the Cuddalore District Government Medical College and Hospital and Nursing College at Annamalainagar on Monday morning.Dr Baskar was appointed as the Dean of the medical college following his promotion from the post of Medical Superintendent of the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital in Chennai. He had also been serving as Professor of Anaesthesia at the hospital.

The previous Dean, Dr KU Suresh Balan, retired from service last week.
