Vijayawada: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Saturday said that youth should first gain experience in education, employment or entrepreneurship before plunging into politics.
Addressing ViksitBharat@2047 Young Political Leaders Dialogue in Vijayawada, he underscored that youth should not eye plum posts after entering politics but work towards resolving public issues.
"Before entering into politics, it is important for youth to gain experience in education, employment or entrepreneurship," he said, calling on youth to play a key role in building Viksit Bharat 2047 (Developed India).
Sawant called on young political leaders to rise up as policy makers, grassroots organisers, technology users and "social businessmen".
Further, he advised youth to be accessible, accountable, inclusive, innovative and keep the nation first.
