DUSU Election Result 2026 LIVE: The wait for Delhi University election results 2026 is over. The counting has began for one of the country's most high-profile student union elections, Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) elections. The DUSU poll results 2026 will determine the composition of the central panel for the 2026-27 academic session.
The ABVP has fielded Yash Dabas for the post of president and Ishu Maurya for the post of vice-president. The NSUI has fielded Vijay Shankar Meena for president and Veer Chatrath for vice-president.
The DUSU vote counting has began at 8 am and is currently underway amid tight security. Over 2,000 police and paramilitary personnel have been deployed across Delhi University. The voter turnout in DUSU polling was 40.46 per cent.
The Delhi High Court has restrictred any victory procession after the DUSU election results are declared.
Last year, the ABVP won the posts of president, secretary and joint secretary, while NSUI won the vice-president's post.
President: NSUI’s Vijay Shankar Meena leads with 16,107 votes, just one vote ahead of ABVP’s Yash Dabas, who has 16,106 votes.
Vice-president: Independent candidate Deepanshu Shokeen leads with 21,247 votes
Secretary: ABVP’s Riya Chhawdi is leading with 13,737 votes
Joint secretary: NSUI’s Gopal Choudhary leads with 11,222 votes
President: NSUI's Vijay Shankar Meena leads with 14,530 votes, ahead of ABVP’s Yash Dabas, who has 14,106 votes.
Vice-president: Independent candidate Deepanshu Shokeen leads with 18,933 votes, followed by ABVP’s Ishu Maurya with 9,653 votes
Secretary: ABVP’s Riya Chhawdi leads with 12,046 votes, while NSUI’s Namrata Chaudhary has 9,355 votes.
Joint secretary: NSUI’s Gopal Choudhary leading with 9,867 votes.
Independent candidate Deepanshu Shokeen, who contested for vice-presidents, is leading with 15,591 votes, followed by ABVP's Ishu Maurya (7,838) and NSUI's Vir Chatrath (2,268).
President: NSUI's Vijay Shankar Meena leads with 11,966 votes, followed by ABVP's Yash Dabas with 11,472 votes.
