It was this day in the year 1989 that India first saw Sachin Tendulkar on the cricket field, and decades later, the cricketing legend joined the celebrations in his own subtle way — by going live on Facebook and answering queries from kids.

The master-blaster is one hero we can never forget. And it was this day — November 15 — in 1989 when Sachin Tendulkar picked up his bat against Pakistan in a test match in Karachi. This 16-year-old boy went on to become one of best cricketers of the century.
