Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Bhubaneswar has been steadily climbing up the NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) rankings, year on year. From ranking 65 in the overall category in 2018 to 50 in 2019 and this year, it has sealed its rank in the 44th position this. And in the university ranks it is in the 24th position. This, over and above the accolade of already being recognised as an Institute of Eminence by MHRD last year. "I firmly believe that slow and steady wins the race and wish that KIIT keeps climbing up the ladder and continues to strive towards excellence," says Dr Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS).

Dr Samanta, who is also the Kandhamal MP, heartily congratulated all the stakeholders of KIIT. He exclaimed in delight, "Congratulations to KIIT for creating milestones for itself and achieving great success in its 22 years of existence and in 16 years as a university." The philanthropist and prominent public personality also believes that because KIIT strives for excellence each and every year, this feat has been made possible. "We are excelling every day because our staff and faculties are putting their effort for research and other academic activities," he tells Edex.

The 55-year-old also took to Facebook to express his delight. He posted, "This is a marked rise from last year where KIIT was ranked 31 in NIRF. I firmly believe that slow and steady wins the race, and wish KIIT keeps climbing up the ladder and continues to strive towards excellence."
