Good habits drive you towards your goals and help you succeed more than intelligence and knowledge — that's the mantra Harappa Education has been following. Their latest digital initiative — Harappa Habit Heroes — is meant to motivate those who have a 'can do' spirit to do more for the society in this time of crisis.
The initiative has gathered more than 300 nominations and will now identify 10 such people whose positive attitude towards life has inspired people and has helped the society during the COVID-19 crisis. "We noticed, on our social media feeds, that there are people who have showcased immense courage and spread positivity across the society even during the lockdown. We wanted to celebrate these people who are demonstrating the best of habits in the most difficult circumstances," said Shreyasi Singh, Founder and CEO, Harappa Education.
The Harappa Habit Heroes initiative had nominations from anyone who has brought about and encouraged change around them — they may have taken the lead in helping senior citizens, fed migrant labourers taught children online or helped set-up processes to improve virtual collaboration. While each and everyone is special, Shreyasi mentions one such nomination. "A restaurant owner near Delhi is feeding people for free but what also struck me is that the packaging and the way it is being given to people is not like its being given for free or as a donation. the people are being treated with respect," she added.
All nominations will be judged by a peerless jury panel comprising of Samta Arora, Director of Learning Impact at Harappa, Radha Kulkarni, who is a Public Policy Expert and works with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Srikant Sastri, Chairman, IIM Calcutta Innovation Park and Life Coach Saurabh Mittal. The major criteria for evaluation will be the intent and the impact of the deed, said Shreyasi.
The winners will have a special video made about them, where they share their story with the world. They will also get access to five of Harappa's courses and 10 promo codes to share with friends and family with which they can purchase Harappa Courses at a 30% discount. Last but not the least, they will get year-long access to Blinkist, a book summary app. How cool is that?
