All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) became the first political party recently to have an official verified account on 'TikTok' a social media app for creating and sharing videos.

AIMIM plans to reach out the first-time, young internet users in India through TikTok.

Presently, TikTok has more than 200 million users across the country and overtook Facebook as the most downloaded social media application in the first quarter of 2019.

AIMIM's official TikTok account has more than 7000 followers and more than 60,000 likes on its close to 75 videos.

Since the platform gives a user an opportunity to express and share a message in a concise manner and make it funny at the same time, AIMIM plans to put forward its agenda to young India.

One of the video clips on its account shows AIMIM President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi appealing to his constituents to come to Darussalam – AIMIM's party headquarters and that of his party's doors.
