Under the initiative of 'Videsi Vidhya Deevena' Scheme, HRD Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao recently signed a MoU with the management of Baker College, Michigan, United States of America. This College has the lowest fee structure in the entire state of Michigan for the benefit of the Telugu youth and government employees selected under the initiative Videsi Vidhya Deevena Scheme.

The college is also offering scholarships for the students of AP to pursue their higher education in the US. There is a special offer for the benefit of the students of AP to complete their “Bridge Year” from India itself so that they can pursue the higher education followed by the 3-year bachelor's degree in India.

Giving the highlights of the college and their MoU with AP government, M Satish Babu, International advisory member of the Baker College said on Monday through a press release that their college completed 100 years and it is a private not-for-profit institution of higher learning dedicated to preparing students for successful and challenging careers.

"We have partnered with Andhra Pradesh state government to provide access to a portfolio of programs to their citizens through the Videsi Vidya Deevena initiative. This clearly demonstrates the commitment of AP state to create an opportunity for its citizens to acquire the knowledge and skills employers are demanding," Satish added.
