Haryana school sealed, principal arrested after student made to roam with 'blackened' face on campus

One person has been arrested in a shocking incident in which a fourth standard student was allegedly traumatised when she was made to roam around the school with a blackened face in Hisar on December 5.

After the incident came to light, the District Education Officer informed that the school has been sealed and the students will be transferred to other schools.

"The police has registered an FIR and one person has been arrested in connection with the incident. The District Education Officer has informed that the school has been sealed and students studying there will be transferred to other private and government schools," said AK Meena, Deputy Commissioner.

"The Call Detail Records (CDR) of others are also been analyzed and if found guilty or others involved in the incident, action would be taken against others also," he added.

"Principal has been arrested and sent to judicial custody. The higher official is investigating the case," said a police official.

On Monday, the family of the nine-year-old girl, whose face was allegedly blackened and paraded inside school premises by a woman teacher for poor performance in the exam, staged a protest in Hisar on Monday.

The father of the girl had demanded that the private school should be shut down for allowing the incident to take place.
