Cochin college alumni honour fishermen who helped rescue people in flood-affected areas

The Cochin College Alumni Association has organised a function here to honour the 25 fishermen who were actively involved in the rescue mission to help people of the flood-affected areas. These fishermen played a key role in rescuing the residents from Paravur Kottappuram Gothuruth area which was worse affected by the floods. The fishermen were from Cherthala Arthunkal region. they brought nearly 85 bots with them and helped in rescuing 3682 people from the area.

The fishermen were accorded with a warm reception by the Cochin College Alumni at the relief camp at Kottapuram St Michael cathedral. The Alumni association also distributed the back to home kits to the inmates of the relief camp.
