If you are a student of Karnataka State Open University, you can now send your queries on Whatsapp to varsity officials

If you are a student of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) and have any queries, you can send the same on WhatsApp to the dedicated varsity officials. The authorities have come out with the latest initiative with the sole intention of answering to students' queries in a jiffy.

According to a press release from the office of the KSOU registrar, in the existing set up the varsity provided an opportunity to the students to send their complaints or queries seeking clarifications, if any, through the mail with a dedicated window at the official website of the varsity.

In addition to this, it has been decided to provide the same through the fast circulating social networking method and two officials attached to students complaints redressal cell at the varsity have been deputed for the purpose.

Earlier, the students were lodging their complaints on www.ksoumysore.karnataka.gov.in which was providing a link to the grievance section of the University Grants Commission (UGC). The students had to register before obtaining his or her login. Soon after filing the complaints, it was dispatched to the nodal officer at the varsity and vice-versa. Hence, to make it further easy for the students, it has been decided to launch WhatsApp service, the release added.

The students can post their complaints on dedicated WhatsApp numbers of coordinators attached to complaints cell- J S Chandrashekar-- 9148773123 and D M Mahesh--9148775123.
