The students of College of Engineering, Guindy will soon be hosting SANGARSH ‘17 - a concert to support the cause of Muscular Dystrophy Foundation based in Madurai. The event will also be extending its support in preventing and curing the spread of this disease among children.

Muscular Dystrophy (MD), is a degenerative neuromuscular disorder. A child who is diagnosed with MD gradually loses the ability to do things like walk, sit upright, breathe easily, and move the arms and hands, thereby leading to other health problems as well. The progressive deterioration which usually starts from skeletal muscles of the body spreads to destroy the internal organs such as lung muscles and cardiac muscles, as the condition progresses.

The event which will held at the Music Academy on March 4 at 5pm will hope to create awareness about the disorder. Celebrities like Ganesh Venkataraman, Sudha Ragunathan and Naveen will also be supporting this cause with their presence.
