Kerala High Court on Tuesday granted permission to the students of Arooja High School, Thoppumpady to write the CBSE Class X examination. A division bench comprising Justice A M Shafique and Justice V G Arun while passing an interim order imposed some conditions on the school while conducting the examination.

The students will be allowed to write three examinations scheduled on March 4, 14 and 18. The High Court also made it clear that though the students can write the examination and it will be bound on the final verdict in the case. Meanwhile, CBSE officials informed the Court that the school lacks basic facilities which are mandatory to get affiliation.

The Court, while passing the interim order, taken into account the situation of the students who were restricted from appearing in the examination over the mistakes committed by the school. The students were unable to take the ongoing Class ten board examination as their school authorities did not inform the students and parents about the non-recognition which came to light only last week.
