School students participated in the 87th edition of Fit India Sundays on Cycle at Swarn Jayanti Park, with students from two local schools taking part in cycling and other fitness activities.
Students from Om Landmark School and Green Valley School for Children participated in the event, which was organised as part of the Fit India movement's weekly cycling initiative.
The programme gives students an opportunity to take part in physical activities outside school, with cycling forming the centre of the event. The students also participated in other activities organised at the venue.
The Fit India Sundays on Cycle campaign is a nationwide initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports aimed at encouraging people to make cycling and physical activity part of their regular routine.
Launched in December 2024, the initiative is organised every Sunday across cities and towns, with participation from schools, colleges, sports organisations, government departments and local communities. The campaign is being implemented by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in association with the Sports Authority of India, the Cycling Federation of India and MY Bharat.
