Puducherry is ready to set a Guinness record with 36 hour long yoga event

The event which is being conducted in connection with International Yoga Day, will see 121 women participating in the 36-hour long yoga programme

In connection with the International Yoga Day, Kancheepuram-based Mahamaharishi Foundation is organising a 36-hour long yoga event with the participation of 121 women, to create a Guinness record.

According to a release, Chief Minister V Narayansamy, along with his cabinet colleagues, would inaugurate the event at the Rajiv Gandhi indoor stadium in Puducherry. The event will begin at 7 am on June 20 and will conclude at 7 pm on June 21. Lt Governor Kiran Bedi will take part in the closing ceremony.

Senior Superintendent of Police Apoorva Gupta and Superintendent of Police Rachana Singh will participate in the event, the release said.
