After an incident of violence at Jadavpur University, the students of the University of Delhi are now protesting for justice. But there's more to it. On Saturday, the Arts Faculty of the university will witness two protests organised by the left organisations and Pinjra Tod, and the ABVP respectively. Both parties will be protesting against each other. At almost the same time. 

"ABVP's popularity can't be curbed by violence. DU stands with Jadavpur University," reads the ABVP's poster. The organisation along with the DUSU will be burning an effigy of the left parties at 12.30 pm. "The left goons once again have shown who really is at the ugly end of the intolerance debate," says Siddharth Yadav, Delhi State President, ABVP. "One can clearly see from the videos how the minister Babul Supriyo was beaten up by the left activists. You cannot tear someone's clothes and pull their hair, especially a minster's. This is not acceptable. This shows the mindest of the left," he adds.

Half an hour post the ABVP's protest will be another protest march by the left activists of the university. "Our protest is against the ABVP activists who vandalised the students' union office of Jadavpur University," says Amarjeet Kumar Singh, an AISA activist. "We're also protesting against Babul Supriyo who made a lot of sexist remarks on that day," he says. 

Truly, DU is the place to be these days.
