NEET PG 2026 LIVE Updates: Result date September 30; wait continues for answer key

NEET PG 2026 result date is approaching with NBEMS helpdesk confirming the result announcement on September 30. The same has been mentioned on the official information bulletin as well, but it was 'by September 30'. NBEMS has not provided an official update on the answer key and response sheet. The test takers have been eagerly waiting for the response sheet to estimate their tentative scorfes, but disappointed with the dealy. At the same time, various unofficial dates have been circulating on social media making candidates anxious.

Over the past 3 years, NEET PG result was announced earlier than the scheduled date. The result was released 10-15 days after the exam, but the answer key was not released expect for 2025. Last year, the response sheet and key was released after the result announcement. This year, NBEMS planned to answer key. On September 18, EdexLive team contacted the helpdesk and received the response that the answer key will be released before the result.

NEET PG 2026 was conducted in Computer-based format, and it does not take much time to release response sheet. For national-level exams like UGC NET, JEE Main etc where more than 7 lakh students appear, the answer keys are released within 3-7 days after the exam. With NEET PG has overt 1.3 lakh takers, the delay in releasing answer key making students anxious.

So far, NBEMS has not posted an official update on answer key. The last update on NEET PG was provided during the re-exam that took place on September 5.

Over the last 5 years, the maximum gap between the exam date and result announcement was 17 days (in 2021) and the minimum gap was 9 days (in 2023). However, in 2026, NBEMS has not followed the previuous timelines. The result will be declared on September 30, and this is the longest gap between exam date and result.

Unofficial dates on NEET PG answer key and result announcements have been circulating on social media. Some 'X' posts claimed that the answer key can be expected by September 28 and results by September 28. There is no fact in such claims, and students are advised to not believe such rumours. This will cause unnecessary anxiety and panickness
