NEET PG 2026 result date is approaching with NBEMS helpdesk confirming the result announcement on September 30. The same has been mentioned on the official information bulletin as well, but it was 'by September 30'. As of September 23, NBEMS has still not provided any update on the answer key. The test takers have been eagerly waiting for the response sheet to estimate their tentative scorfes, but are disappointed with the dealy. At the same time, various unofficial dates have been circulating on social media making candidates anxious.
Over the past 3 years, NEET PG result was announced earlier than the scheduled date. The result was released 10-15 days after the exam, but the answer key was not released expect for 2025. Last year, the response sheet and key was released after the result announcement. This year, NBEMS planned to answer key. On September 18, EdexLive team contacted the helpdesk and received the response that the answer key will be released before the result.
NEET PG 2026 was conducted in Computer-based format, and it does not take much time to release response sheet. For national-level exams like UGC NET, JEE Main etc where more than 7 lakh students appear, the answer keys are released within 3-7 days after the exam. With NEET PG has over 2 lakh takers, the delay in releasing answer key making students anxious.
So far, NBEMS has not posted an official update on answer key. The last update on NEET PG was provided during the re-exam that took place on September 5.

On September 21, EdexLive contacted the NBEMS and received an update that the result will be released on September 30, but the helpdesk clearly mentioned that no date has been fixed for the release of response sheet.

NEET-PG is not testing who studied more. It is testing who can live inside uncertainty without breaking. You can finish a subject and remember nothing. You can sleep 8 hours and wake up guilty. You can be done with the paper and still not be done with the exam. The rank comes later.
Unofficial dates on NEET PG answer key and result announcements have been circulating on social media. Some 'X' posts claimed that the answer key can be expected by September 28 and results by September 28. There is no fact in such claims, and students are advised to not believe such rumours. When EdexLive contacted the NBEMS helpdesk, it was highlighted that a lot of unofficial dates are circulating on social media and we asked to commincate it to the top officials so that an official update can be provided. As the rumours on result/ answer key date have been increasing day-by-day, NBEMS is expected to provide an official update soon, but there is no fixed date.
Once released, candidates are expected to be able to view the question IDs, recorded responses and corresponding answers through the designated examination portal. The response sheet will be particularly important for candidates who want to verify their responses before the final result.
NEET PG 2026 has a maximum score of 720, compared with the 800-mark format reflected in the 2023 and 2025 result PDFs analysed for this live blog. The change means that previous-year marks-vs-rank tables should not be directly transplanted onto the 2026 score scale. The historical data is useful for understanding rank compression and competition, but not as a direct 2026 prediction.

The 2025 result data shows how tightly ranks were distributed at the upper end. Candidates scoring around 600 marks were clustered around the AIR 3,000 range. The exact 2025 score-to-rank relationship can therefore serve as a useful historical benchmark when analysing the first 2026 result data.
