Andhra Pradesh Governor appoints Vice Chancellors to five universities

Governor Biswa Bhushan Harichandan on Wednesday appointed vice chancellors to five Universities. New VCs were appointed to Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, Andhra University Visakhapatnam, Rayalaseema University, Kurnool, Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur and Dravidian University, Kuppam.

Retired professor of the Department of South East Asian Studies, SV University, Prof K Raja Reddy has been appointed as the VC of SV University. Similarly, the Governor appointed PVGD Prasad Reddy, senior professor of Department of Computer Science and System Engineering, AU, as Vice Chancellor of Andhra University.

Prof A Ananda Rao, Professor, Computer Science and Engineering, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapuramu was appointed as VC to Rayalaseema University, Kurnool. Prof Tummala Ramakrishna, Professor, Department of Telugu, University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad was appointed as VC to Dravidian University, Kuppam and Prof M Ramakrishna Reddy, Retired Professor, Department of Geology, Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa is appointed as VC to Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Ananthapuramu. The term of all the newly appointed Vice Chancellors is three terms.
