Tamil Nadu government issues notice extending the curfew till 5 AM tomorrow

The Janata Curfew began at 7 AM on Sunday and was to end at 9 PM. However, considering the welfare of the people, the curfew period has been extended to 5 AM on Monday

The Tamil Nadu government today extended the Janata Curfew to combat coronavirus, till 0500 hrs tomorrow morning.

An official release here said the curfew period, which began at 0700 hrs today morning, would end at 2100 hrs tonight, with the full support of various sections of people and industries.

Taking into account the welfare of the people, the curfew period has been extended till 5 AM tomorrow morning.

However, there was no ban on the functioning of all essential services, the release said and sought the full cooperation of the public in this regard.
