Startup Kozhikode kicks off to attract young startups for setting up their new initiatives

To promote young entrepreneurship, KSIDC has identified the need of developing Incubation Centers for boosting innovative ideas in the State

Startup Kozhikode, an event aimed to boost entrepreneurial culture among youngsters in North Kerala region got under way on Thursday. The event organised by Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) was inaugurated by its Managing Director, Dr M Beena. Organised with the support of Imark Global, a knowledge partner of KSIDC, it is aimed at attracting young breed of entrepreneurs to business incubation centres for setting up new initiatives, a press release said.

To cater to the funding requirements, the corporation has also launched a seed funding scheme with an objective of building a strong ecosystem for nurturing innovation start-ups in the region


KSIDC has established three full-fledged business incubators at Geo Infopark, Kakkanad, Kochi, Startup Zone at INKEL Tower in Angamaly and Business Incubation Centre at UL Cyber Park, Kozhikode, with various facilities. To cater to the funding requirements, the corporation has also launched a seed funding scheme with an objective of building a strong ecosystem for nurturing innovation start-ups in the region which would drive sustainable economic growth and generate employment opportunities.
