Admitting final examinations results fiasco, Mangalore University has assured to rectify the serious mistakes committed and also sent a notice to a private company which outsourced the results. The several students studying in university-affiliated colleges are bearing the brunt due to faulty evaluations and inefficient administrative system. 

The final examinations were held in September and the results were out on the university website this week. PL Dharma, Registrar (evaluation), Mangalore University, clarifying the errors in a press conference on Tuesday said that the varsity will look into the errors. "We agree that there were mistakes in the results and we will rectify them at the earliest so that our students' future is not affected," he said. He also appealed to the affected students to approach university officials if they have any complaints regarding the evaluation or the results. "Those students who wish to go for revaluation must apply before December 4," he said.

Meanwhile, the university has served a notice to private examination results outsourcing company Attris Technologies, Bengaluru for their technical errors in the results. "The company has been outsourced since 2015 and its contract ended in April this year. The contract was extended due to COVID-19 pandemic," he added. Dharma on a media query said that the university went back to the manual system instead of automation tabulation as some former officials had violated Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with a private company. He added that the examinations for final year students who could not appear for it due to COVID-19 and other reasons will be conducted from December 21.
