The Department of Humanities and Science of SA Engineering college, Chennai conducted a guest lecture on advanced engineering materials on February 28.
 
The Chief Guest was Dr N Harish Kumar, Professor, Department of Physics, IIT, Madras. He gave an insight to the role of Advanced Engineering Materials. He vividly explained magnetic materials, their applications and their historical development. He also shared how electro magnets are used in all the equipments including the latest technology. 

He gave many examples for magneto electronic device and basics of electro magnetism. He also illustrated that Mercedes Benz cars has 1000 Magnets

Throughout the session, he encouraged the students and asked them to be a creator who contributes to the society.
