This is why digital marketing expert Vamshi Kurapati's videos are hit among students

A colloquial mix of Telugu and English, brevity, relatable topics and even more relatable examples — if you ask us, these are some of the reasons why Vamshi Kurapati's videos are doing so well. Not to discount the fact that he has over 1.68k subscribers on YouTube and 14.6k followers on Instagram, of course. Despite his age, this 23-year-old, who is the Managing Director at Swio Corporate & ITES, a digital marketing agency, and Managing Partner at HashPro Digital Marketing Academy, has enough and more experience in the areas of digital marketing, entrepreneurship, starting small, prioritisation, communication and so on, so he covers these topics in his short videos.

His family has their own business and that's where he learnt how to manage people, communication and so on

For years, Vamshi had wanted to focus on building his own brand, so during the lockdown, with time on his hands, he decided to begin through videos. The intention was to reach out to youngsters through short videos and explain, in the simplest of terms, the topics he is an expert in. "When I did my first video in English and put it out there, I did not get a good response. Then I realised that there is no dearth of English-based content out there, but there is scope in regional languages and that's where I set out to create my niche," says the Hyderabadi.

Vamshi started Swio Corporate & ITES two and a half years ago and the Academy, which currently offers basic and advanced courses in Digital Marketing, just this year. To launch the videos, his first step was to create a list of 150 topics and narrow them down based on feedback, current trends and relevance. One of his most interesting videos is about parents being involved yet not forcing their child to pick a certain career. "After that video, I got 10 to 15 inquiries from youngsters, asking me to speak to their parents," informs Vamshi. And he did. His video about the Ambani brothers, their business and the rift between them — titled the JIO Case Studies — is also quite interesting. So you see, this YouTuber covers a wide range of topics through his five to six minute-long videos.

There are over 55 students were/are studying at the academy

Vamshi shoots three to four videos a day where he speaks extempore-style, without many cuts or retakes, and his team edits it. "When I started, I was forcing myself to write a script, but I realised that I am spontaneous and should follow what comes naturally to me," he explains. The youngster hopes to touch upon several more topics that baffle students and ensure that his engaging videos continue to appeal to all.
