Coimbatore Corporation decides to start robotics training for students studying in their schools

Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) has decided to provides robotic training to the corporation school students, to improve science skills among them, from coming academic year. An official said, the CCMC joining with a private firm has decided to give a robotic training to the corporation schools students. We were decided to start this training at five schools zone wise including north, centre, etc. In the first phase, we have started a robotic training at SRP Ammaniammal Girls Higher Secondary School in Coimbatore. Founder of Twirl Tact Technology Solution Private Limited, Shyam Prakash said, "We will conduct training titled Internet of Things (IoT) to class IX and XI science students. This is 100 per cent practical method training with lab set up and real robotic also will be used. This training will be conducted 24 weeks in an academic year. Through this training, government school students know about how to functioning 30 types of models in science like smart dustbin concept using sensor and controller, a smart light system using sensor and controller. Besides, students can learn programme languages. In the final government, students get knowledge in Science equal to private school students." He continues, "At present, we have been giving robotic training to private schools and colleges in Coimbatore. We have decided that this training may give to government school students also. Initially, we have chosen city limit schools to give training. After that, we have approached the CCMC commissioner and he asked training demo. Later, we have conducted training about IoT introduction in SRP Ammaniammal school students. Educational officials also participated and monitored the training. It created interest among students. After that, we got permission to conduct training. This training will be conducted with the support of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund."
