Man held for impersonation at entrance examination in Odisha

The youth had reportedly made a deal of Rs 3 lakhs for appearing for the test. After questioning the invigilator realised that he was a dummy candidate.

City cops detained a native of Delhi for appearing at the entrance examination of Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology here on behalf of a candidate recently. The youth, identified as Adarsh Choudhury, reportedly appeared at the examination on behalf of a resident of Gop in Puri district. The entrance test was being conducted at Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir within Khandagiri police limits. After questioning Choudhury, the invigilator realised that he was a dummy candidate. "Choudhury reportedly had made a deal of 3 lakhs for appearing for the test. We are trying to trace the actual candidate and further probe is on," said Khandagiri IIC Rashmi Ranjan Mohapatra. A case has been registered in this regard.
