Who can apply? Explore eligibility and key deadlines
The candidates must be selected from among alumni and current students who have studied or are currently studying/researching in Germany.
In order to get into this program, the candidates need to be nationals of India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, or Sri Lanka and should not be older than 32 years old as on 1 January 2027.
It is necessary for the applicants to have had prior or current experiences in studying at a German University and should be ready to participate in an online training program in November 2026.

What is the role of a Young Ambassador?
Candidates who stand out act as volunteers for one year by virtue of regional DAAD office New Delhi. In this capacity, the ambassadors arrange two sessions of information or webinars on the intricacies of higher education and Germany International Education.
