Responding to the cyclone, the District Chief Education Officers have instructed schools to be prepared as shelters for disaster relief.

Principals have been asked to hand over the school keys to locals, members of School Management Committee (SMC), corporation staff orlocal body authorities as soon as a need emerges. Further the keys canbe kept with a teacher in the locality or a localite.

Further, principals have been instructed to arrange for basic amenities including drinking water, clean toilets and engage NSS students indisaster relief.eom
