NIRF Rankings 2025: Here are top 15 colleges in the Overall Category

IISc Bengaluru, IIT Delhi, and other top contenders follow in the latest India NIRF rankings 2025

The Ministry of Education today released the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025 rankings, marking the 10th edition of the annual exercise.

Indian Institute of Technology, Madras

IIT Madras secured the top spot in the Overall list, retaining its position for the 7th consecutive year.

Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru

IISc Bengaluru has retained the 2nd position for the 7th consecutive year.

Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay

IIT Bombay secured the 3rd position.

Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi

IIT Delhi has secured the 4th spot.

Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur

IIT Kanpur has secured the 5th position.

Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur

IIT Kharagpur has retained 6th spot from last year.

Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee

IIT Roorkee takes up the 7th position. It has moved up a spot from last year.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi

AIIMS Delhi moved down by one spot to the 8th position this year.

Jawaharlal Nehru University

JNU moved up by one spot to 9th position this year.

Banaras Hindu University

BHU also moved by one spot to round up the top 10 this year.

IIT Guwahati takes the 11th position. It has moved down a couple of spots from last year.

IIT Hyderabad has retained its 12th position from last year
