OpenAI has unveiled its advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool, Deep Research, designed to revolutionise large-scale online information gathering and multi-step research tasks. Currently available for ChatGPT Pro, Plus, and Team Next users, Deep Research is poised to compete directly with the Chinese AI tool DeepSeek R1, which has garnered significant attention recently.
Taking to X, Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, today, Monday, February 3, announced this and further described Deep Research as an "on-demand superpower" capable of solving complex problems.
What is Deep Research?
