The Ministry of Education will organise a Shikshak Parv or a Teachers' Fest to educate principals, parents, students and teachers about the National Education Policy 2020. These sessions will be held from September 8 to 25, tweeted the Union Minister of Education Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank'.

"Guided by the visionary leadership of Hon'ble PM Narendra Modi, we are organising “Shikshak Parv” (8th to 25th Sept), educating Principals, Teachers, parents, students, schools, HEIs, etc. about #NEP," he tweeted on Tuesday. The ministry had previously organised an online discussion for teachers and principals, discussing methodology to successfully implement the policy from August 24 to August 31. "We have received an overwhelming response with over 15 lakh submissions by more than 1.5 lakh users," he tweeted after that.

The ministry also organised a Governors' Conference on the Role of NEP 2020 in transforming higher education, on Monday. President Ram Nath Kovind, along with the Minister of Education, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and members of the NEP Drafting Committee attended the discussion. "Everyone from teachers in a rural school to education experts feels that this policy is their own. The reason why it was accepted universally was that this policy has the changes that everyone had wanted in the previous policy," the Prime Minister had said.
