TN Edu dept announces final semester exams from Sept 15, detailed schedule to release soon

The final semester exam for college students will be held after September 15, higher education minister KP Anbalagan has announced. BArch exams final semester exams alone will be held from September 7.

The minister said that while a detailed schedule and hall ticket shall be issued later, students have been asked to prepare for the exams. Students can visit www.tneaonline.org for more details regarding registration.Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on July 23, cancelled theApril-May 2020 semester examinations, except for students in their final year of college. 

The State government had constituted a high-level 11-member committee to make decisions about the exams,based on University Grants Commission (UGC) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) recommendations.While the higher education department was mulling conducting the examsonline, the conduct of JEE (Main) may have changed the decision. It is still unclear if the final semester exam will be conducted offline.eom
