Tamil Nadu Elementary School Teachers Federation (TNESTF) has urged school education department to conduct promotional and transfer counselling to government school teachers and headmaster's immediately for current academic year.

Federation district secretary C Arasu said, "School education department is being silently without releasing an announcement ofcounselling for teachers and headmaster's for this academic year, citing COVID - 19. Though, department activities such as administrative works, education related works, etc are commencing here as usual."

"Due to delay, teachers and headmaster's have to face loss of promotional and transfer. So, it should conduct counselling at least online. Already the department had conducted counselling online," he demanded.When contacted, a top officer in school education department said that announcement regarding counselling may release soon.
