Puducherry govt orders schools to be closed on November 28 due to cyclone Nivar

A public holiday has been declared in Puducherry and Karaikal on Thursday in view of the Nivar cyclone. Schools will remain closed till November 28 for the students of class X, XI and XII.

According to an official notification on Wednesday, "19th December (Saturday) will be a working day to compensate for Thursday's holiday."

The holiday, is not applicable for officials involved in essential services, including disaster management and Covid duties.
