AP Minister claims school turnout has touched 50 percent mark amid strict COVID-19 protocol

The turnout of the students in government schools has touched 50 percent mark on Tuesday, amid strict COVID-19 protocol, said Minister for Education Adimulapu Suresh.

In a statement issued here, Suresh said that the attendance percentage of class 10 students has touched 50 mark, while it is 52 percent for class 9 students.

However, 47 percent for class 8 students attended the schools in the state on Tuesday though they were intimated of schools functioning on alternate days for them. This apart, week-long Jagan Anna Vidya Kanuka campaign is also being conducted in the state, the minister added.
