TN schools, colleges to close, medical colleges will function, exams as per schedule

The Tamil Nadu Government has issued a directive to all schools and colleges to shut down till March 31. Board exams for the tenth and twelfth standard students and entrance exams will however go as per schedule, the circular said. Medical colleges will also continue working.

The government has said that all schools including corporation and private, colleges, universities, training centres have to remain closed till March 31. Hostels and residential schools will function only till the exams end. However medical colleges and allied courses like nursing will all function as usual. 

Anganwadis in the state will also shut down but taking Kerala's example, the state will ensure food reaches the homes of the children. 

Besides schools, malls,g  zoos, cinemas, swimming pools, bars and clubs will all remain closed till March 31. The government has advised people to not gather in large numbers in mosques, churches and temples too. Everyone who arrives at the international airport will be quarantined for 14 days and quarantines will be set up near the airports
 
Everyone who is travelling and is suffering from a fever will be checked. The government has also directed officials to ensure all buses, suburban trains, metros will be cleaned with disinfectant everyday. 

Work places that have centralised ACs will have to be cleaned with disinfectant once a week as well, the government has ordered.
