UP education dept to announce results of Class 10,12 board exams on Saturday

The results for UP Board classes X and XII will be declared by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) on Saturday. More than 5 million students have appeared for the state High School and Intermediate exam.

Officials of the UP Board said here on Friday that the results would be announced at 1200 hrs by Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma at a press conference in the Lok Bhawan. The results would be loaded in the website immediately, officials said. However, the students would have to wait for a couple of days to get their first time ever digital signed marksheets.

A total of 56,11,072 students were enrolled in the X and XII board exams this year in which 30,24,632 were for Xth board and the remaining 25,86,440 had appeared for XII board. But results would be declared of 5,13,048 lakh students who had actually appeared in both the X and XII exams and 4,10,591 were absent.

The exams were held between February 18 to March 6, this year . Though the evaluation of papers commenced on March 16 but due to lockdown, it was stopped. Later, it was resumed and completed in the first week of June. A total of 3.09 crore answer sheets were checked.
