KSRTC to use 47 buses to ferry 1043 students from Kerala border for PU exam

The District Administration on Wednesday made arrangements to run Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) and school buses to ferry students from Kerala to write II PU English paper examination on June 18 in their respective Centers in Dakshina Kannada District.

A total of 47 buses would ferry 1043 students from the border areas of Kerala.

The students have been asked to be present at a designated place to board the bus at 0700 hrs and have to get their hall ticket and identity card, Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh said here.

All the students should mandatorily wear masks and use sanitisers before entering the examination centres.

The principals of colleges, where students from Kerala, are studying have been asked to deploy staff to make arrangements to ensure that students reach the examination centres in time and get back home after the exam.

A total of 26,942 students would write the PU II Exam in Dakshina Kannada district.

As many as 6322 students from the district have chosen centres near to their hometown, following the COVID-19 pandemic, he added.
