Delhi University's examination fracas doesn't look like it's going away in a hurry. Ashish Lamba, the sole NSUI representative in the Delhi University Students' Union has now written a letter to the university's Dean of Examinations, asking him to make the revaluation free. This was after a lot of BA English (Hons) students cried foul over them receiving worryingly low grades in their examination results. "This is to bring into your notice that the university administration should acknowledge the emails sent by the students for the waiving the revaluation fees, keeping in mind the nation's economic condition," reads the letter.

The students had previously sent emails to the Controller of Examinations stating the same. However, a lot of them had received responses, asking them to "not copy and paste the content." Currently, the students are to pay Rs 1,000 per subject for revaluation. Previously, we had written about the students who received unbelievably low grades in their core subjects. A lot of them even received a Grade Point Assessment (GPA) of 0, which is impossible in an ideal situation.

However, a lot of them refused to apply for revaluation, owing to its expense. "The NSUI has been constantly fighting to waive off the revaluation fee," says Ashish. "I have now asked the students to fill up the revaluation form and submit it again to the university. The dean has said that the error can only be found through revaluation. If the university is in fault, we will get the revaluation fee reimbursed for them," he says.
