Another student who took KEAM entrance exam tests positive for COVID-19, taking the tally to 11 in the state

One more student from Kozhikode, who had appeared for the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) entrance examination, was tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.

About 88,000 students had appeared for the exam, held at various centres, across the state. At Least five students who appeared for KEAM entrance exam had been tested positive last week. Three students were tested positive for the virus on July 21 and two others on the next day.

A native of Maniyur near here, he is the second student from the district among the total students, who had appeared for the KEAM entrance exam, found positive for the virus. Health department sources said the student, who had written the test at Malabar Christian college, was found positive in an antigen test conducted yesterday. Consequent to this, the student has been admitted to the First-Line Treatment Centre, sources added.
