If someone thinks that physical impairment could cause failure in life then Jharkhand's Deepak is a befitting reply for him. Born to a very poor family, Deepak's feet stopped working within two to three years of his birth due to blockage in nerves. Since then he has never walked but that has not made him a burden to anyone. Instead, he is an inspiration for people. He is into animal husbandry and is doing great business.

Born and brought up in the Latehar town his physical impairment never stopped him. He chooses studies as his medium to combat all adversaries in life. Deepak also faced times when he found himself at a point when he had to decide whether to give up or continue with the studies. His decision was wise, he continued.

Defeating all odds with his will power, Deepak completed B Tech from National Institute of Technology, Raipur in 2019. "After completing my education I got many job offers from private companies but I wanted to do a government job. However, relatives and friends forced me for those private jobs but I thought doing something by my own is better than a private job," Deepak said. "Your dreams always come true when you do hard work with determination. I could not get a government but I don't have any regret. I am happy here," he added.

He had decided in his student life that he won't be a burden on anyone. "Now I am happy that whatever decision I took it fetched me a positive result," Deepak said. The former head of Aaragundi panchayat Gujar Uraon said: "Now Deepak is an inspiration not for only our village's youth by for nearby people as well. As he is educated, he is applying advanced technology in the animal husbandry".

"Efforts of Deepak-like youth are indeed appreciated. Despite being physically impaired he is self depended. I would try for every possible government help for Deepak as per the rules," said Latehar Block Development Officer Ganesh Rajak.
