Kerala Education Minister C Raveendranath said that the students studying the state board syllabus would have lagged in their academics if the state government didn't initiate the online classes through KITE Victers Channel from June 1 itself.

Speaking after inaugurating the event announcing Vadakkumkara Government UP School as completely hi-tech on Saturday via video conference, Raveendranath pointed out that the classes through Victers channel made a huge impact in continuing the academics of the students amidst the pandemic fears. "Learning through the digital system is the only way for the children to keep up their studies until the direct classes in schools began,-" he said.

Raveendranath also reminded the school authorities about the need to upgrade the academic aspects of the school along with infrastructure. "Proper development of schools is viable only if academic standards of students are improved along with infrastructure facilities. Primary schools are the basic foundation in forming the future citizens of the country. The state government made success in protecting such primary schools through the initiative with public participation, that otherwise would have extinct," he added.
