The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) and Suresh Kumar, Primary and Secondary Education Minister have announced that the SSLC results will be out on August 10 at 3 pm. In June, the KSEEB went ahead and conducted the SSLC exams amidst the pandemic and a large number of students and parents had opposed the decision of the government. Over 8.40 lakh students had appeared for the exams in June and July.

After a lot of inquiries and personal messages from SSLC students, Suresh Kumar took to Twitter and posted that the results will be announced on Monday. These exams were supposed to happen in the month of March were further postponed to May and then finally took place in the month of June. One can log in to the kseeb.kar.nic.in and enter their hall ticket number to check these results.

However, it was reported that an SSLC student who wrote the exam in one of the centres in Arkalgud Taluk of Hassan District was tested positive. As a result, a lot of fear and stress was created among the students who wrote the exam in the same hall. When tested, all 18 students tested negative for the COVID-19. Similarly, at Kaladagi, two SSLC students who were tested positive at that time were not allowed to write Math exams and were admitted at the designated hospital to treat COVID. Again the remaining students from this exam hall were tested negative for COVID.
