"We will try to facilitate and unite families within the city, state or states, as onetime medical emergency in the below cases only: Childbirth and sad demise of a family member," tweeted Director General of Police (DGP) Praveen Sood.

Sood listed three phone numbers for people to contact facing such medical emergencies, 22942300, 22942400 and 22942500. The top cop, however, said the interested parties must arrange their own transportation and produce medical transcriptions for scrutiny.

"Please arrange your own transport and medical transcriptions for verification," Sood said.
