The people who attacked me need mental rehabilitation: Babul tweets video of him threatening students

EdexLive Desk

Union Minister of State and BJP MP Babul Supriyo said that he would like to arrange for rehabilitation for the 'mentally' disturbed students who attacked him on September 19 so that they behave they are supposed to. In a series of tweets, the minister shared videos from the campus and claimed that the true face of Jadavpur University is nothing but hooliganism. But the videos he shared claiming that that is the trues story of Jadavpur only show him threatening the students.

"We shall rehabilitate you ‘mentally’ so that you & your Hooligan Friends (all footages available with the media) behave like you are supposed to behave as students," tweeted the singer-turned-politician. He also shared the video of him arguing with the students and wrote, "The real story in #JadavpurUniversity yesterday. Thank you, everyone, for sending me these footages." But if one watches the video closely, it doesn't really incriminate the students because you can only hear Babul. Amidst praising Buddhadeb Bhattacharya and Jyoti Basu and drawing their example to apparently calm down the protesting students, Babul said, "What do you think, I cannot hit you back?" No one is seen hitting him in the video though. Was that a threat Babul Da?
