Madurai Medical College student's suicide note says that he was overworked

The police have recovered the suicide note of U Udhayaraj, a student of Madurai Medical College, who committed suicide by injecting poison. The handwritten note states that the medico killed himself owing to work pressure. 

"Since I'm unable to handle the workload at Madurai Medical College, I'm committing suicide," reads the note which is written in Tamil. He was pursuing Doctor of Medicine in Anaesthesia was found dead in his room on Friday morning.

He hailed from Virudhachalam in Cuddalore district. Preliminary investigations revealed that Udhayaraj was reportedly under depression for the past few days. Police recovered an empty syringe and medicine bottles, besides a suicide note from the room. The body was removed to the Government Rajaji Hospital morgue for post-mortem.

Mathichiyam police have registered a case and are investigating.
