TNAU is inviting applications for the PG and Doctoral courses from June 3

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University is inviting online application for postgraduate and doctoral agricultural courses from Monday. The last date for submission the midnight of July 15. TNAU is offering Masters programme in 33 disciplines and PhD in 29 disciplines.

Candidates with a minimum OGPA (overall grade point average) of 3 out of 4 or 6.6 out of 10 in  their Bachelor's degree programme can apply for Masters programmes. For SC/ST candidates, minimum OGPA of 6.5 out of 10 in bachelor's degree is sufficient. For the doctoral programme a minimum OGPA of 7 out of 10 in Masters programme is required. Eligible candidates will have to write the entrance test marked on 100, which will have three parts — general agriculture (15 marks), aptitude (10 marks) and specific subject (75 marks).

The university will conduct entrance examination at its Coimbatore campus for Masters programme on July 23 and for the doctoral programme on July 30. The first semester will commence from August 16 for both the masters and doctoral programmes.

Students who have studied in state agricultural universities (SAUs), colleges affiliated to SAUs or central agricultural universities, Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR) deemed universities, central universities with agricultural faculty listed by ICAR, any other institutes accredited by National Agricultural Education Accreditation Board (NAEAB - ICAR) alone are eligible for admission to TNAU for masters and doctoral programmes, university, said the release.
