Children with special needs from Tripura to perform at the Parliament for PM Modi and his cabinet

A group of children with special needs of Swavalamban Rehabilitation Centre run by an NGO in Tripura left for Delhi today to perform a traditional dance form of the state tomorrow at Parliament House before the Members of Parliament and Union Council of Ministers.

The Lok Sabha MP from Tripura Pratima Bhowmik said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with his team of cabinet and Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu are scheduled to attend the performance.

Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities has invited special need children of state to participate in Divya Kala Shakti: National Cultural Event at the Parliament House.

The same group had earlier exhibited a dance performance before the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind in Rashtrapati Bhavan on April 18 this year, which was the first incidence in India when children with special needs, from a children's home, performed at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
